Dr. Shanmuga Jayanthan S, Senior Consultant Radiologist, was honoured with the Prof. N. Kulasekaran Best Proffered Paper Award at the 76th State Annual Conference of the Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Chapter of the Indian Radiological & Imaging Association (TN & PY IRIA), held from 15th to 17th December 2023 at Hotel Kodai International, Kodaikanal.
Dr. Shanmuga Jayanthan received the award for his outstanding scientific paper titled “AI Based Coronary Artery Plaque Characterisation,” which highlighted the emerging role of artificial intelligence in advanced cardiac imaging and preventive healthcare. The presentation was widely appreciated for its clinical relevance, innovation, and potential impact on early detection of cardiovascular disease.
