Percutaneous ultrasound-guided thrombin injection is a safe and effective minimally invasive procedure used for the treatment of pseudoaneurysms. Under real-time ultrasound guidance, thrombin is injected directly into the pseudoaneurysm sac, resulting in rapid thrombosis while preserving the parent artery.
Transjugular hepatic vein or inferior vena cava (IVC) venoplasty is a minimally invasive, image-guided procedure performed for the treatment of Budd–Chiari syndrome. Via the internal jugular venous route, obstructed hepatic veins or the IVC are accessed and dilated using balloon angioplasty, with or without stent placement, to restore hepatic venous outflow and reduce portal hypertension.
- Right ICA: Complete occlusion.
- Left ICA: Severe ~70% stenosis.
- Single left ICA supplying both cerebral hemispheres via collateral circulation.
- Critical to maintain left ICA patency to prevent major stroke.
