Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur, was honoured with a Certificate of Recognition during the 9th Monthly Meeting of TN & PY IRIA for achieving the distinction of becoming the first hospital in the Delta Region to receive DNB Radiology accreditation from the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The certificate of recognition was presented by Dr. Shyamkumar Keshava, President, TN & PY IRIA, and Head of the Department, CMC Vellore, and was received by Dr. Ravichandran, Medical Superintendent, Meenakshi Hospital, in the presence of distinguished radiologists and healthcare professionals.
The achievement reflects Meenakshi Hospital’s dedication to excellence in radiology education, advanced imaging, and academic training. Establishing a DNB Radiology program in the Delta region represents a major step forward in strengthening postgraduate medical education and creating opportunities for aspiring radiologists locally.
Dr. Shanmuga Jayanthan played an instrumental role in achieving this milestone through his continuous efforts in academic development, quality imaging services, and institutional growth. The recognition ceremony was held during the scientific meeting themed “Obstetric Imaging”, organized by the Thanjavur Region IRIA Subchapter in association with TN & PY IRIA.
The event celebrated the hospital’s contribution to radiology training and its commitment to advancing healthcare education in the region.
