02. Laser Fiber Insertion

2

The laser fiber is advanced through the catheter to the required position below the saphenofemoral/saphenopopliteal junction.

03. Tumescent Anesthesia

Tumescent solution is injected around the vein. This compresses the vein, provides anesthesia and protects surrounding tissues.

HEPATOBILIARY INTERVENTION: IVC BALLOON DILATATION FOR BCS

Balloon dilatation of the IVC was performed for Budd–Chiari syndrome to relieve venous obstruction and improve hepatic venous outflow. The intervention resulted in symptomatic and hemodynamic improvement with reduction in ascites, abdominal pain, and portal hypertension. The minimally invasive procedure restored hepatic circulation and improved liver function while avoiding more extensive surgical procedures.
